Please read the information below which gives details of our PE and Sport Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.
PE and Sport Premium
In April 2013 the Government announced new funding of £150 million for Physical Education (PE) and school sport.
This funding (Sports Premium) can only be spent on sport and PE provision in schools, however each school has the freedom to determine how best to do this.
The purpose of the funding is to:
Improve the quality and breadth of provision of PE and school sport for Primary-aged pupils,to help pupils develop healthy lifestyles and reach performance levels they are capable of.
A typical Primary school would receive approximately £9,250 annually in the academic years 2013-14 and 2014-15 calculated using the number of pupils in Years 1-6.
Alongside Maths and English, Sports Premium will be the third area to be inspected by Ofsted. Therefore, it is vitally important that we use this funding effectively.
Dinglewell Infant PE Action Plan
At Dinglewell we will continue to invest this additional funding in 2017-2018 into a sustainable development programme for our school. Our Action Plan this year will continue to build on the success and impact of the funding over the previous 4 years (2013-2017). Click on our action plan for further details. In September 2017, the funding is set to double that of previous years.
To further increase the children’s understanding of health and well-being
To support those children who need to develop their gross motor skills and FMS
As a commitment to meeting these priorities Dinglewell Infants has affiliated to a number of sporting bodies.
