Dear families,
We are very pleased to welcome you and your child to Reception. Whether you are joining our school community for the first time or returning with a younger sibling, we are delighted to have you with us. Our school is proud to be a family‑friendly environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.
Our core values — honesty, respect, responsibility, creativity, care, and cooperation — guide everything we do. These values shape our expectations, our relationships, and the way we help children grow into confident, thoughtful members of our school community.
The year ahead is full of memorable moments. During the autumn term, we will celebrate our Harvest Festival. In the spring, the children will take part in our much‑loved Easter Bonnet Parade, a wonderful opportunity for creativity and fun. As we move into the summer term, we look forward to welcoming families to our annual Sports Day — always a highlight for children and adults alike.
There is lots to think about as your child begins this new chapter, and even more to look forward to. Over the coming weeks, you will receive further information, including dates for parent information sessions and details of transition activities designed to support a smooth and positive start to Reception.
We look forward to working in partnership with you throughout the year.
Warm regards,
Mrs Southgate (headteacher)
