At Dinglewell Infant School we use Maths Intergalactic Space Travel Passports to support the development of rapid recall of key mathematical facts.  The children travel around the solar system progressing from planet to planet.  Each planet has 4 main objectives. Rapid recall is developed by practice and repetition and your support at home is key to this. 

We ask parents to help at home and help guides are available for each planet.  The help guides contain ideas on questioning and some useful websites.  Please find time to play maths games, practise counting patterns and ask questions on a weekly basis.  The children love their passports and are keen to show off their skills and consequently move on to a new planet.  There are many good maths websites available and new ones appear from time to time, so if you find one that is really good please let Mrs Bishop know so that she can pass the information on to other parents.  

Please remember to revisit objectives from previous passports as it is really important that they can still be recalled rapidly whenever needed.
