Welcome

A very warm welcome to our school website. Dinglewell Infant School is a large Infant School with 270 pupils aged between 4 and 7 years old and is located on the outskirts of Gloucester, in Hucclecote.

We aim to treat every child as an individual and provide a secure, safe, happy, welcoming and thriving environment. We offer exciting learning experiences which have creativity at the heart.

This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community. We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find the information you are looking for; please contact the school office with any queries you may have, or parents may request paper copies of information free of charge.

Our Aims

At Dinglewell Infant School we aim:

To create a happy and secure environment with a carefully balanced and differentiated curriculum
To foster good relationships between children, staff, parents and Governors in order to support the academic and social objectives of the school
To stimulate and develop children’s use of number, language and speech, writing skills and reading fluency
To develop the children’s natural curiosity of the world around them through science and technology
To develop creativity through all areas of the curriculum including music, drama, art and dance
To cater for the children’s physical needs in P.E., games, hygiene and health education
To foster an enjoyment of all aspects of learning and to develop the child’s lively and enquiring mind to enable him/her to question and discuss rationally with others
