Please read the information below which gives details of our PE and Sport Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.
Primary PE and Sport Premium
In April 2013 the Government announced new funding of £150 million for Physical Education (PE) and school sport.
This funding (PE and Sport Premium) can only be spent on sport and PE provision in schools, however each school has the freedom to determine how best to do this.
The purpose of the funding is to:
Improve the quality and breadth of provision of PE and school sport for Primary-aged pupils, to help pupils develop healthy lifestyles and reach performance levels they are capable of.
Dinglewell Infant School Primary PE and Sport Premium Action Plan
At Dinglewell we are delighted that we will be able to continue to invest this funding to provide additional, sustainable improvements to the provision and quality of PE and sport we offer to all pupils, and to encourage healthy, active lifestyles.
We were proud to be awarded afPE Quality Mark for PE, school sport and physical activity in December 2020 and in order to continue and sustain our success in providing and encouraging healthy and active lifestyles, we will focus on the following 5 key indicators:
Increased confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff in teaching PE and sport
Click on our action plan below for further details.
As a commitment to meeting these priorities Dinglewell Infants has affiliated to a number of sporting bodies.
